AML & client identification statement
Why we ask for documents
Auditing and accounting firms are designated non-financial businesses under UAE anti-money laundering law, supervised by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism. Before accepting a client we must identify the company, its beneficial owners and the people acting for it.
What we usually need
- Trade licence and constitutional documents.
- Passport and Emirates ID of shareholders holding 25% or more, directors and signatories.
- The UBO register and, where relevant, evidence of source of funds.
How we protect it
Documents are kept securely, used only for client acceptance and legal record-keeping, and handled under our privacy policy.
